Kelly M. Greenhill
Weapons of Mass Migration: Forced Displacement, Coercion and Foreign Policy, 2010−2011
Nothing like an anticlimax to wake up, too bad the best is yet to come, though. Edwin Clarence Riegel wrote that governments make wars, not people; Kelly Greenhill details how governments use people as pawns in their games. Our destinies and our lives are mere chips in the hands of those we elect to protect them, our humanity is used against us by third parties who split it into conflicting fronts, forgetful of being two faces of the same medal, so we unwittingly serve their suppressive aims only. Once taken note of that, we think our disillusionment bottomed out, but as the saying goes, we hit rock bottom, now we start to dig. Now that we faced there are criminals for whom our hells and our deaths are a means, perhaps we are ready to face there are criminals for whom our hells and our deaths are the ultimate goal.
